The Unique Groom and his Groomsmen

We recently had the pleasure of creating two, one off suit designs for a civil wedding ceremony.

The first suit design was made for six groomsmen. The groom wanted them to look the same as each other but look different from everyone else. The groomsmen were all shapes and sizes (they won’t hate us for saying that). Some were tall, some were short, some were skinny, some were built.

It was important to know the colour of the bridesmaid’s gowns as it’s always good practice to compliment the bridesmaids colours as much as possible. The last thing the groom needed to do was to make the bride unhappy by choosing a colour that will ruin all the photographs. After all – unhappy wife, unhappy life! Therefore, we went with a blue, three piece creation. Nothing overly fancy, but still highly classy and still very much different and unique.

The second suit was made for the groom. He wanted something different, something that was not the typical dark blue or grey colour that literally every groom had been wearing this year. This challenge was right up our street, as my aim is to make people feel unique. We take pleasure in making people stand out from the crowd. After hours of testing colours, I landed on an amazing combination. The result was a deep burgundy with a navy blue waistcoat. Not only was the colour combination unique, the waistcoat design was also custom made as well as the suit lining and suit buttons. We included embroidery within the inside jacket that read the bride and groom’s names as well as the wedding date. This piece was definitely something that would not have been available on the high street…and it was definitely a one-off masterpiece that we are extremely proud to put our signature on.
